General merchandise
Everyday trade goods, retail stock, household and hardware lines.
Equinox Springs Trading deals in a broad range of goods. We are a general trading company, not limited to agriculture or any single sector, and we work across both small trial orders and large-volume consignments.
These are the categories we most often handle. If your product is not listed, ask us anyway — the list describes our experience, not our limits.
Everyday trade goods, retail stock, household and hardware lines.
Bulk and semi-bulk goods traded on specification and volume.
Equipment, components, consumables and materials for operations.
Packaged goods and branded lines for retail and wholesale channels.
Construction supply and finishing materials by the load.
One category among many — handled with the same rigour as the rest.
Primary and secondary packaging, raw and processed inputs.
Bring us the specification. If we cannot source it, we will say so directly.
A representative sample rather than a closed list. If a commodity is not shown here, it is worth asking — we source against the specification, not against a catalogue.
Black, green and rooibos, in bulk or retail-ready packaging.
Whole and pitted, across grades, packed for retail or food manufacturing.
Maize, wheat, rice and sorghum, in bagged or bulk consignments.
Beans, lentils, chickpeas and soya, cleaned and graded to order.
Macadamias, peanuts and dried fruit, sourced to buyer specification.
Whole and ground, single origin or blended to an agreed formulation.
Raw and refined, in bagged consignments or bulk containers.
Ores, concentrates and semi-finished metal products against buyer assay.
Coal and related energy commodities, arranged on a per-contract basis.
Most clients use two or three of these together. They can also be taken on their own.
Buying, selling and distributing goods within South Africa. We connect local suppliers with local buyers, take positions on stock where it makes sense, and handle the movement between the two.
Trade in both directions. We bring product into South Africa for local clients, and place South African goods with buyers in international markets — with the export and import documentation handled as part of the job.
You tell us the specification; we go and find it. We approach multiple suppliers, compare on more than headline price, verify who we are dealing with, and negotiate terms on your behalf.
The part that most often goes wrong. We coordinate freight across sea, air and road, keep the paperwork aligned with the cargo, and stay on it until the goods are delivered and signed for.
Not every requirement fits a standard shape. Where a trade needs a particular structure — staged deliveries, consolidated orders from several suppliers, trial volumes ahead of a larger commitment, or a buyer and seller who need an accountable party in the middle — we will build the arrangement around it and set out clearly who carries which risk.
We are set up to be flexible on both category and volume. A pallet is a real order to us, and it is usually how a longer relationship starts.
You send the product, specification, quantity, destination and any target price.
We approach suppliers, compare options and confirm we are dealing with the real thing.
You get a landed cost with the lead time, terms and assumptions written down.
Order placed, freight booked, documentation prepared and cargo tracked.
Goods delivered and checked — then we look at what the next order should be.
Whether you are looking to source products locally or expand into international markets, we are ready to assist.
